All Creatures Great and Small

I am starting up a business.  A consulting business, where I will help any company, any agency, any city or county, any religious affiliation, any school system at any level, any HOA or any group of people anywhere in the country with their pest problems. This includes any small family owned business or large chain business. If anyone in any group has any pest questions about problems at work, or even at home, they can contact me and I will help them manage the problem without the use of any toxic pesticides.  In some situations, a maintenance department may have to become involved, in others anyone can do it.  Anyone in any group can also contact me about pest problems at their home.  If they are in a situation where a pest control company is necessary and that will be extremely rare, then I will recommend someone in their area if I can.  Everyone in the group will get a copy of my most recent book, “THE BUGMAN’S GUIDE to NON-TOXIC PEST MANAGEMENT FOR YOUR HOME AND GARDEN” (which is available on my website, to anyone that wants a copy).

Basically I would like to see the use of pesticides in our society reduced or almost completely eliminated.  There are plenty of non-toxic methods of pest management and dangerous pesticides are never necessary.  For instance, many companies have exterminators come around and spray their baseboards with a pesticide because the company claims that it is pest control.  It is not.  It is pesticide pollution and it may endanger anyone in the building.  There is NO reason to have any home or business facility sprayed with pesticides on a calendar basis.

I want to help as many people as I can with this.  So I will start a company called “Richard Fagerlund”. The name is simple and nobody can copy it.  If someone hires me for consultations, I will give them my social security number so they can report it to the IRS, and of course, I will pay taxes on it.  Because this will be available to any organization anywhere, it will all be done online or by phone.  Of course anyone can send me specimens to identify if necessary, which I will do and then make a non-toxic recommendation for them to use to manage them.

I may even produce a quarterly newsletter that I will send to each group and they can share it with all of their employees, associates, schools staff or anyone.  I have to work on that.

How much will I charge for this?  Simple. That is up to the business, city or county agency, school, church or whatever.  They can make an offer and if I find it reasonable, it will work.  It will be a one-time fee and it will be good for a year.  Then they can renew it if they like.  Of course I will attach my resume to anyone who is interested.  My resume is NOT a regular type resume. It goes into a little more detail about what I have done.

If you know of any company, city, county, school, church, HOA or any group of people that may be interested in this, have them contact me.  My email is

What is the guarantee?  I guarantee I will help anyone to the best of my ability.

About askthebugman

I have been in the pest management industry for over 40 years. In that time I have used almost every pesticide available to control so-called “pests”. With this experience, I have learned over the years that the pesticides we use are far more dangerous than the pests we are trying to control. As a result, it has become a passion for me to improve the quality of life for humans and the planet, by assisting people to not only become more educated and aware of their environment – but also by learning to manage their home and business with a sustainable and healthier approach to tending to unwanted infestations of bugs. Please enjoy my blog posts, check out my publications, utilize my services, or simply stay in touch if you have a bug question…
