All Creatures Great and Small

Apartment complexes pest control

I posted about a situation in an apartment complex in Las Cruces where a cockroach infestation and pesticide misapplications are making tenants sick. There is a class action lawsuit in progress.  I get a lot of calls from people in apartments that have pests or even in some cases don’t have pests, but they are exposed to pesticides. In many cases, the tenants are elderly or have chemical sensitivities.  Most apartment complexes just hire exterminators who come in and spray pesticides along baseboards and do little else.  This is ridiculous.  This is what I will do.  I just finished a handbook that tells apartment management how to control pests in their units without using a pest control company or toxic pesticides, and if they want to use a pest control company, what the guidelines should be.  It is in PDF format and I will make it available to any apartment complex in the country or any tenant.  There is no charge.  We have to stop making people sick with the irresponsible use of toxic pesticides. If anyone wants a copy to give to an apartment complex or manages one, send me an email at askthebugman2013@gmail.com.

About askthebugman

I have been in the pest management industry for over 40 years. In that time I have used almost every pesticide available to control so-called “pests”. With this experience, I have learned over the years that the pesticides we use are far more dangerous than the pests we are trying to control. As a result, it has become a passion for me to improve the quality of life for humans and the planet, by assisting people to not only become more educated and aware of their environment – but also by learning to manage their home and business with a sustainable and healthier approach to tending to unwanted infestations of bugs. Please enjoy my blog posts, check out my publications, utilize my services, or simply stay in touch if you have a bug question…
