All Creatures Great and Small

I will help anyone, anywhere in the world with pest issues

I have adjusted my 2020 plan a little from what I previously said. I did say I was going to help anyone anywhere in the world with pest problems for free and I have handbooks also available for free. Several people said it was good that I help people, but I should charge something. I thought about this for a while and here is what I decided to do.

I will help anyone anywhere to the best of my ability and send them handbooks as necessary. If they have schools where they live, they can send me the contact (Email) information for school superintendents or principals and I will contact the schools and send them a handbook on how schools can do non-toxic pest management. If you live in an apartment, you can send me the apartment owner’s contact info and I will send them a handbook on how to do non-toxic pest management in an apartment complex. If you want, you can send me the email information of your local mayor and city councilors or county manager and county commissioners and I will send them handbooks relevant to public building non-toxic pest management and weed control so they don’t use Roundup. Of course, if anyone has any friends or relatives that need pest help, I will help them as well. I am also going to address other issues, like the killing of birds by pesticides and how pesticides are destroying the ecosystem. I will be contacting all local agencies in NM and tell them that songbirds are protected in NM and pesticides being generically sprayed outside are killing a lot of them. I will work with anyone in any other state on these issues also, including researching the laws in your state. There are many cases where pesticides are illegally used and some states, including NM are poorly regulated. In these cases I will study the situation and probably recommend legal action be taken.

What am I going to charge? That is up to you. What I would like to happen is that anyone that wants my help in the future as outlined above, to contribute any amount you want, basically whatever you think it will be worth to you and I will put you in a database and make sure I help you in any way I can. I will keep track of all contributions and pay appropriate taxes. I don’t want to get rich, but I do have to pay bills like everyone else and I live on Social Security. I would like to trade my Ford Grackle (Ford Ranger) in for a more recent vehicle and travel the state and offer help in certain situations that develop. Last year a plane flew over a lake in northern NM and sprayed herbicides all over the place. I would have liked to have went up there and examined the situation and probably recommend legal action. A similar situation is taking place in a community in Utah where mosquito spraying is making many people sick. My old truck is good locally, but not on long trips. That is my main mission for the coming years.

If anyone wants to contribute and get in the database, you can send me a check in any amount you want to me at: Richard Fagerlund, 7595 Faith Rd., Las Cruces, NM 88012, or use my PayPal account on my website at www.askthebugman.com.   I will still help anyone who can’t afford to contribute anything as we need to reduce the use of pesticides in society and protect our health, our pet’s health and protect the environment.

I will help anyone, anywhere in the world.

About askthebugman

I have been in the pest management industry for over 40 years. In that time I have used almost every pesticide available to control so-called “pests”. With this experience, I have learned over the years that the pesticides we use are far more dangerous than the pests we are trying to control. As a result, it has become a passion for me to improve the quality of life for humans and the planet, by assisting people to not only become more educated and aware of their environment – but also by learning to manage their home and business with a sustainable and healthier approach to tending to unwanted infestations of bugs. Please enjoy my blog posts, check out my publications, utilize my services, or simply stay in touch if you have a bug question…
