All Creatures Great and Small

Offer to help international associations

It has been an interesting week and I think positive. I wrote several snailmail letters to organizations nationally and in NM about non-toxic pest management and I offered to help them with any pest issues they have. Here is who I wrote. On Monday I sent a letter to the NM Realtors Association offering to send them information on how they can make sure any termite work they have done is done properly, since most termite work done in NM is not done properly. They don’t need the legal issues that could develop if they buy or sell a house that wasn’t treated properly.   On Tuesday I sent a letter to the NM Trial Lawyers Association telling them how poorly pesticides are used in NM and that they should look into working on pesticides issues in court. On Wednesday I sent a letter to the NM Parents Teachers Association telling them how pesticides are often misapplied in schools in NM and that they need to work with the schools to make sure the students aren’t exposed to toxic pesticides. I offered to work with any school that had issues. On Thursday I sent a letter to the American Apartment Owners Association explaining to them how many apartments have pest and pesticide issues and that they can do a better job controlling pests without using toxic pesticides. This is a national association. On Friday I sent a letter to Planned Parenthood as I mentioned on a previous post. Today I sent a letter to the National Council on Aging which overlooks senior citizen centers nationwide. I told them I have frequently seen pesticides being carelessly applied in senior centers over the years and senior citizens should not be exposed to toxic pesticides. And I told them I was a senior citizen 😊. I offered to work with any senior center in the country that needed help and I told all of them that all my consultations and any handbooks I send to them are free. I will post any responses I get in the coming weeks. I will continue to send these mails out and if anyone knows of any local, national or even international organizations that would be interested in not using toxic pesticides, let me know and I will contact them. I also walked 6.1 miles today.

About askthebugman

I have been in the pest management industry for over 40 years. In that time I have used almost every pesticide available to control so-called “pests”. With this experience, I have learned over the years that the pesticides we use are far more dangerous than the pests we are trying to control. As a result, it has become a passion for me to improve the quality of life for humans and the planet, by assisting people to not only become more educated and aware of their environment – but also by learning to manage their home and business with a sustainable and healthier approach to tending to unwanted infestations of bugs. Please enjoy my blog posts, check out my publications, utilize my services, or simply stay in touch if you have a bug question…
